Struggling to start
Im still struggling to get the beast running. We've been in contact with Davo a few times, and he is trying to "walk" us through some ideas as to what is causing the bike to not start. Compression (check), Spark (check), fuel (check), the starter sounding like my horn intermittently (check) lol. I haven't the foggiest as to why it won't start. It sure does look good though.
Wont start
Kellie, more gas, more gas. This has been my experience with these old beasts!...................D

See if the plugs are wet. If so... then try to start with the choke off and throttle cracked. If the float isn't set just right, sometimes the carb will spill fuel right into the intake ports. I had set the one on my Dream down a couple mm lower than spec to keep the fuel level in the bowl down. Good luck!

Hard to start
Make absolutely certain that your points are gapped right on the money. And, if you change them, it changes your timing.
