Are you sure you have a CA77 air filter in there? Maybe the PO used one from a CA92/95??? Post some pictures of your setup and maybe we can spot whats wrong.

I'm off work on Friday and I'm gonna give it another. I'll take lots of pics. I send a pic to Tim of the air filter and he said it's the correct one. Looks just like the one in your pic too.

No expert here, but wondering if the carb is correct? Parts book for the CA77 shows a carb with a pretty long snout on it. Your carb with the short little filter on it appears to have a short snout. Maybe a pic of your carb without the filter in place might be meaningful to others with CA77 knowledge. You might have carb and hose from a different model.

Just a thought.

regards,
Rob

We tried again this weekend and it's just not working. I need another 1/2 inch. It reaches the tip of the air filter, but there's not enough tube on the filter to be able to clamp it down. I looked at the carb and it looks like the correct one with the long snout. So for now I taped up the old one. How about your bike? Did you get it running??

YEP!!! Just like you said, it wanted to make a grand enterance. It started Christmas Eve. It was a bad coil, and a forum member sent me a replacement and it started right up. I have a small oil leak coming for the cam shaft seal, that we will fix probably today and we have to attach the petcock and install the gas tank, then Im going for my first ride on my sweet little dream!!! I can't wait. Let me ask my hubby what we are running on my bike and I will let you know what set up we have on ours.
