I'm still on the look out for a solo seat, but I saw this seat rail and just couldn't resist. I didn't work on the bike today. We went to Thunder on the Bay in Sarasota and it was amazing. A mini Daytona! SO many bikes and I got some ideas on some colors to paint it. Hubby's going out on the boat tomorrow with his buds, so I'll have the whole day to work on the bike. Wish me luck!!

That looks just like the one I have! It doesn't really matter to me if its original, I really like the look of it. I think I have to drill a hole in the rear fender to install it. I looks like it attaches to the screws on the side of the fenders, but there's a hole in the rail to bolt it down to the fender, and I don't have a matching hole in my fender. I assume yours is bolted into the fender as well?
Mine has a double bolt attachment on the fender. I was never quite sure about the side mounts. I've never taken mine off so I wasn't sure if those holes were factory holes or were made to mount the bracket.
I suppose I would like to know.......anyway, the bolts are clearly not factory so I don't know if they have been replaced along the line or what.
