disco the wiring and remove r. crankcase cover and chain case cover
remove ac dynamo screws
remove screws for clamping wire on the crankcase and disco the neutral switch terminal.
remove the spark advancer, and the dynamo rotor with the extractor.
replace gasket. AND SEAL, reassemble.
the dynamo is the stator. that 14/17mm bolt in the center of the rotor needs to be removed. an oil filter wrench may help hold the rotor in place while you knock the bolt loose with a ratchet and a block of wood or soft hammer. your trickiest part will be removing the rotor. you need a bolt that fits the large thread inside( seen when you remove the bolt) snug it and then wack it with a hammer, the bolt that is, not the rotor. repeat untill it pops loose. there is a key that drives the rotor inside. dont loose it. also there will be a seal back there that is probably leaking as well. go to cmsnl.com and look at the parts fiche for your bike BEFORE you go any farther. youll have an idea what your dealing with. take pics with your phone to help reassemble, use a sharpie to mark important things that need to line up. good luck, i have a 64 theyre fun bikes.
