That's a very nice find! Number 6 built in '62 that's cool! With a super nice alloy front fender. This bike has a lot of '61 features. It's nice to see a good survivor.
Good luck !

Hi Alan,
Very nice early CB77. Not only does it have a '61 front end and silencers, but also a '61 cylinder head side cover (left), '61 air intake boots (screw clamps), '61 speedo / tacho, '61 black tacho cable. I wonder how the inside of the lamp shell looks like, as the rear shocks (alu or steel covers ?). A closeup of the handle bar grips would be nice too !
Again, a very nice bike, and strange too. I always thought that the left (early) cylinder cover changed over together with the 1961 crankcases, untill this day......,
It could be a 62 frame with a 61 front end, including the tacho cable, but people would not chanche a cylinder head cover with the front end, so I think this bike is produced this way.
I doubt the (muffler) headers are original
To identify more details I need more (closeup) pictures,
btw, this bike is build in 1961. What does the wiring harness say ?
Well, you learn every day,
Jensen

hi jenson, your right there is a lot of 61 parts on this, story goes this was purchased in japan shipped to the usa, the chap i got it from , got it from the owner who shipped from japan in 62, the bike is still in the usa at the minute, got someone going out next week to collect, but will be a few weeks till it gets to the uk, there is a blue seat under the black cover, dont know what its like, it looks to me most of its right., i got it to swap the front ends over with the 61 i have , but feels wrong now.. will take some better pics when i get it..alan
