CA78 - What year?

Post by Sailor » Tue Jul 17, 2012 2:24 pm

I recently acquired a 305 Dream with the frame #CA78-1025458 and would like to know what year it was made. Thanks in advance.

Year

1966? '65 and after have 7-digit numbers but Honda stats do not break down by year for '65 and after.

Honda did not seem concerned much about year of production of Dreams, but there should be a white tag on your wiring harness that will identify the year it was made. Honda made running changes during production so you need to compare your frame number to parts in the parts manual. That will tell you what you need. That is, the year of production doesn't really matter so much. What part fits your bike does and you will only find that (usually) in the parts manual.

Hope that helps.

Thanks - I'll check the tag on the harness.
