Dream Revving high!
Hey everyone,
I had been having issues with the fuel system on my 69 Dream. After taking the carb apart a few times and changing out the gas, I went ahead and completely cleaned the fuel tank. I kept finding residue in my filter so I figured flushing it out was the best option and it worked!
I can get it started now on the first crank BUT it is revving super high! Maybe its a vac problem?
I tried testing for that but the bike is jumping around so much when its on that its hard to not want to turn it off. I checked the throttle cable and it is loose and should not be the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Or is my bike possessed by the spirit of Evil Knievel?!

Yes. That was the first thing I thought too. I took the carb off and watched it as it set. I also checked the cable at the lock screw and loosened it all the way. Anything else come to mind?G-Man wrote:Have you checked that the throttle slide is seating properly? It is a common problem to put it in backwards. Cutaway should be to the air filter side....
