Alright gentlemen (and ladies if you're out there), we're almost done! Tank is back from paint and installed for, I hope, the final time. Just need to finish the right side exhaust, paint the megaphones, wrap the headers and solder an end on the clutch cable and off we go! Gotta admit I'm getting excited all over again!
Btw, what do you guys think of the exhaust? I was going for that CYB look. Not spot on, but I think it came out ok. I'm sure it'll look better when it's painted.
I'll be interested to find out how you like that riding position, particularly with those clip-on handlebars angled in towards the tank. Guess I'm so used to the flat bars on my bike!
I loved the flat bars on my last 77 as well, but wanted something more racey. I'm not sure wether I will like them or not, but I'll only have the bike a short while. She'll be up for sale as soon as she's finished and broken in a bit. They do look nice though...
So I rode her a bit and I have to say, at the moment the riding position is not too bad. Don't get me wrong, it's way low, but it's not too low. This position would be better for a younger, lighter rider rather than myself at around 230 lbs. I still can't get the tires to seat correctly and will be working on this soon, but other than this, the bike seems perfect...
