Newbie to forum and 67' dream restorer

Hello to all....

Long history with Honda bikes (cl125, cb750 four, cub 70) but finally aquired my first 305 Dream after a two year search. The engine is seized and I stopped work on it during the hot summer but hope to finish frame this fall, and then to the motor. I wanted a Dream because that was my first bike ride way back in 1963' as a little kid. During the sixties the older boys in town that had Honda's from the little Sport 50 to the 305's were my hero's and in jr high one of my friends had a Sport 50 that we spent many a Sunday afternoon riding on their farm. Later during high school the 1960's dreams were a dime a dozen and you could buy one running for $100 or less as the newer 70's style Honda's had arrived. We poked fun at the farm boys who could afford nothing else...but still, astride my Harley Sprint, I secretly admired the "old style" Honda's. Well, back to the 67' dream. When it's done it probably won't be perfect, but everything should work like new, look really good, and purr like a kitten. I like projects that are not too pretty to use but are functionally solid. I thought this bike was a 68' when I first got it...found out it's a 67' by number search. Glad to find this forum and wealth of info for the quintessential bike of my youth.
