No power to the plugs
No power to the plugsPoints have spark, but no power at the plugs. Bad coil?
??? Points shouldn't spark. I'd check to make sure the condenser is hooked up properly and grounded. Trim a little off the ends of your plug wires and redo the caps. Check for spark by holding the plug against the head preferably not too near the spark plug hole. You can get a combustible mixture coming out of there and well... Or, just plug the hole with another spark plug. Always wear eye protection.
-48 Yup, gotta agree. Points sparking indicates bad condenser and no spark at the plugs with power at the points pretty much confirms it. If you have a pair of old condensors sitting around, wire them in and see if you now get spark at the plugs. regards, Rob
