Finally running!! My '65 CA77

Post by Cheburashka » Fri Nov 02, 2012 5:56 pm

With much thanks to Ed and everyone else who helped me with advice and parts. Still needs a bit of cosmetic work, but I've been having fun riding.

Gonna have to fabricate some muffler brackets for the bags. They're sticking out further than I'd like.

The biggest hassle was adding the blinkers. They're LED so they don't drain the battery, and even though they're not stock, I don't think they detract much from the overall visual appeal.

Now if I can just get back into the habit of canceling them!! Too many years riding modern bikes with self-cancelling signals.

Very nice bike.
I put a piezo buzzer on my turn signals got it at Radio shack put it at the relay and now I don't forget to turn off the blinkers.

your bike looks great....I just don't see Dreams on the road down here anymore though a member here has restored one near here but I haven't ever seen it out. You did a great job and should be proud of your bike...all you gotta do now is ride and enjoy it!!

I really like the shape of the bags and how they taper at the rear. Seem perfect for the bike. And the turn signals' integration into the shape of the bags is very 60's. Great job.

Beautiful! Congratulations!

Question - which mufflers are you using on your Dream?
