Those are the correct sizes, but the originals are normally better quality than those in the replacement kits.

Soak the old. Spray aerosol carb cleaner through them to verify they are clear. Hold them up to the light to double check.

I'm having trouble getting the smaller (pilot jet?) one out. Any ideas on how to get it out? I tried but it started to strip it a bit. Should I just get a rebuild kit with a new jet or what?

Cheers,
Dave

Are you talking about the recessed jet?

Try soaking the whole carb body in a boiling mix of simple green and water.

Make sure you have a screwdriver blade that fits the jet, and dip the tip of the blade in valve grinding paste to increase its grip.

Hold the still hot carb body with a gloved hand and then try to remove the jet.

If that doesn't work, you can try soaking the jet in 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone first.

A rebuild kit won't help if you can't remove the old jet.

Yeah, my first priority is to get the jet out. How long are we talking on these soaks?
