Wood bleach? I did NOT know that! Ha!!! Thank you for that tip. I'll try that on the mufflers when they arrive! In the old days it was recommended that you boil up your aluminum parts with Rhubarb leaves which contain oxalic acid. Never tried it..... :-)

When I was growing up, in my neighborhood, we had all kinds of plants to eat from on the fly. Cherry trees, apple trees, pear trees, black rasperry bushes, grape vines, walnut trees, tomato plants, and the one thing I wouldn't touch, a rhubarb plant. The only kid that would was Rod, and only when he had his salt shaker with him!
