Crankshaft bearing
Crankshaft bearing
I am ready to put the bottom end together on a CL77. I have both the roller and ball bearing for the right side of the crankshaft. The roller has the 7mm knock pin hole and I have a small,5.95mm knock pin. I would have to replace the knock pin if I use this bearing. The ball bearing is the 6306Z with a smaller, 5.95mm pin hole. It has no oiling hole to mate up with the oil galley and is closed on the crank side. The only way that I see it can get oil is via a splash hole behind the bearing which allows oil to get to the back side of the bearing. Is this the way it should be?

Re: Crankshaft bearing
The correct step pin to use is 7mm X 4.93mm that goes in bearing race. Yes, just splash.
