installing exhaust pipes
installing exhaust pipes
i'm trying to re-install the exhaust (first time) and don't quite get how the collars are supposed to fit. the left and right collars are not the same either - one set has a flanged end and the other no flange. In any case, i can't get everything to fit so that the finned 'joint' snugs up against the cylinder head. are the collar pieces supposed to fit inside the exhause port and also inside the joint? How does that work with the flanged pair? Does the flanged part protrude outside the finned joint?

The finned joint goes over the end of the pipe first, the two collar halves fit around the pipe, larger diameter end fits into the recess in the back of the finned joint.
