Hap Jones pistons 3mm 250
And another piston problem question. Anyone ever had a problem with these hitting the head?

I didn't measure but it must have been higher than the ring as it was together and torqued when I rolled it through.
It's about back together with a .010" thicker base gasket and a slight bevel on the edge of the head. We'll see what happens now.

Definitely, 3mm Rocky gasket. Problem is now solved as it rolls through freely at TDC. The thought occurred to me that the cylinder may have at one time been decked so I measured the height of it and three other cylinders, all were the same. I have another piston kit and hope I will not have this problem when the time comes to use it. I will make note of this so I won't forget to check it!
