Need CL72 needle jets

Post by qwerty » Sat Jun 08, 2013 3:55 pm

Hello,
I'm looking for needle jets for my 1965 cl72. I'd love to have a set of 125's, 130's, & 135's ( or whatever is available in that range). Let me know what you've got and how much you'd like to get for them.

Thanks,
Graham -SF Bay Area - California

As it turned out, the carbs on the cl72 have a "secret compartment" with an extra set of jets hidden inside. Thanks to Davo for telling me to unscrew the flathead screw located under the screw on top of the carb - inside each was a 125!

Graham,

How's she running with the 125's?

Davo,
Not much of a difference with the 125s. It still loses power at full throttle. I put in a new condenser, checked the timing (again), and looked at the wiring everywhere for anything questionable. It seems to rev up fine in the garage, but doesn't under load. I'm going to put new points in even though they look ok. I think it might be over advancing. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Graham
