V expensive but still available.

Maybe Ohio Cycle has some?

I have some used rusty ones if you want something to powder coat. They are too badly pitted for chroming..

Does the knee area have the ribs like the CA77 where the pads are attached? Im looking to make it smooth. If so are the solid pieces of metal that can be ground off or are they hollow in the center?

Thanks for the help GMan

See attached pics. The channel that holds the rubbers is spot-welded to the panel. You could drill out the welds or carefully grind them away.

This is what im going for. Same color and all

Based on those covers this pic looks like the tank is coverless as the knee area lines change with the covers. Was there different covers? My tank is identical to this one.

On a side note is there a color code that anyone knows of for this green? Im sure I can have it mixed but having trouble finding it premade.

The C70 tank was coverless, but you've got an early 60's C72 tank, which would have the covers. I like the idea of taking off the knee pads and rechoming. I would then mask off the knee pad area and bead blast that area to give it a frosted look....
