A few Keihin PW22 carb questions

Post by garncarz » Mon Jan 20, 2014 2:32 pm

Is there a way to tell if the main jet and the needle are matched? What numbers go together, etc? Mine appears to have been rebuild a few time and its hard to tell what's been replaced and what has not.

Next, the main jet needle has four positions on top for the clip. Could someone share the process for adjusting it?

Thanks again for everyone's help. The dream's coming together nicely.

Nice job!

Mine runs best with 120 main jet, 35 slow jet, needle in middle slot, 26.5mm float height, 1 1/2 out on air screw.

Jet Needle should have 22401(oem keihin) or D3(keyster), and should have five slots.

I don't recall any numbers on the needle jet, but there could be. They are usually not included in the rebuild kits, so chances are its original. If its not worn into an oval shaped opening, its probably ok.

Looking good, garncarz!

Brewsky, are you at any sort of altitude or close to sea level?
