Modern replacement for the Keihin PW22 on CA78
Modern replacement for the Keihin PW22 on CA78
Can anyone suggest a 21st century "drop-in" replacement for the PW22? Thanks again.
Whatever you "drop in" you will be in virgin territory when it comes to getting it set up with regard to needle, slide and jetting.
Might be better to freshen up your own carb or get hold of a nicer one.
I have found that an ultrasonic cleaning bath works wonders.

What solution do you use in your ultrasonic cleaner for carbs?
This is a bit expensive but it works well.

I use this at about 50 deg before I take the carb apart. That helps loosen all of the screws. Then I dismantle it and dunk all of the parts again for as long as it takes.

In the mean time, does anyone have a diagram/drawing showing ALL of the passages in the Keihin PW22? I am not sure that I have got everything cleaned out.
