Superhawk front fender question

Post by Steverino » Sat Nov 22, 2014 1:27 am

Hi Everyone
My friend brought over the title to my Superhawk today. I need to remind myself it's not really mine until I finish refurbishing his Scrambler I hope to have his bike done by Christmas.

Thanks for recommending Bill Silvers Blog. I've ordered his Superhawk restoration book.

I have been trying real hard to visualize the internal workings of the type 1 motor. If I understand correctly, the power strokes start 180 degrees apart between cylinder 1 and 2, but 540 degrees between cylinder 2 and 1. Bang rotate 180 degrees Bang rotate 540 degrees Bang rotate 180 degrees bang rotate 540 etc.... please straighten me out if I've got it wrong.

I was admiring the Superhawk on the Honda Restoration website modeling the 1300 dollar mufflers when I noticed the front fender. Is it bobbed or is it a special fender?
Thank You
Steve

It's bobbed - as so many of them were....
