So the new offset cotter are in (much better).  Gears spin freely and engage properly but, when i assemble the case halves (just test fitting) and install the shift stopper hardware i get a clicking noise when i spin the shafts.  Its not the clicking from the k/s paul, it's when i rotate them the other way.  If i rotate the k/s shaft about 1/8 turn and hold it in that position everything spins freely with no noise.  What's going on here?  I was thinking that when the k/s assembly is put together maybe the return spring applys rotational pressure to the K/s shaft so this isn't really an issue?  I could be wrong though.  I thought i remember reading a post on the 305 forum but i couldnt find it again.
