Grease gun question ?
Grease gun question ?
Looking at small pistol grip grease guns.
They all have seem to have a nozzle that fits standard "zerk" fittings.
Will that work on the original grease nipples of a CB77? (They look smaller.)

grease gun
Cheap from Harbor Freight, do they have this store in Canada?
It fit small fittings on my bike until I used it on regular size zerks, then it didn't...so now I have two.

No Harbor Freight here, yet.jleewebb wrote:Cheap from Harbor Freight, do they have this store in Canada?
The one I can get locally is a PLEWS LUBRIMATIC Model #30-132. Looks reasonable.

Use one of these: http://www.jensonusa.com/!Ab6uitZUgCDCE ... ort-Nozzle , works with any style zerk fitting.

It seems to have a needle point. Does that have a spring and retract?mike in idaho wrote:Use one of these: http://www.jensonusa.com/!Ab6uitZUgCDCE ... ort-Nozzle , works with any style zerk fitting.

Re: Grease gun question ?
I was surprised at first but standard grease guns are indeed useable with the CB77 (etc) fittings. It may be that the Honda fittings are soft enough (they are made of brass) that the gun's nozzle will grab the fitting, even if it is smooth.R100 wrote:Looking at small pistol grip grease guns.
