I am working on my 64 CB77 and have run into a few issues that seem to be related. The issue seemed to have popped up after doing a clutch rebuild. The clutch seems to be functioning fine but the kick starter just spins when kicked over and does crank over the motor. The starter button does turn over the motor normally. The other issue is that when in gear the rear tire will still spin. There is some resistance and a clicking as the wheel spins but does not "lock" into position.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Check the orientation of the pressure plate on the outside of the clutch. There are four possibilities (four clutch springs) for positioning the cover, it needs to line up with the splines on the inner part(hub) to move inward and grip the clutch plates.
