Back in the late 50's - though the mid '60's, the honda race bikes used finely tapered megaphone exhaust mufflers - something similar was fitted to the CB92R racers.
Anyone know where I can find something like this? The off-the-shelf Dunstall-type are just not right.
Happy to buy them in bare steel, so I can weld my own mounts on, before chroming......
Thanks!

                    Source for period-style exhaust megaphones?

Don't know if this would help at all, but it could point you in the right direction. Give Armours in Bournemouth, Dorset a try (www.armoursltd.co.uk). They make exhausts for British and European, but they might have something which approximates what you're looking for (or they could make it for you???). Another suggestion might be to send a query to Classic Bike Magazine in their 'Fixes and Tips' section, and specifically to Brian Crichton (brian.crichton@emap.com). He is an old Honda nut, and he found my bacon cutters for my SuperHawk (see SuperHawk Meets Triton in the 'Custom' section of the Forum).
Let us know if either one of those helps...

I've had two sets of CR93 megaphones made by Cor Geraets in Holland, identical to the factory items down to the last detail. Not cheap, though. His website is http://www.samracing.net/
