JB weld is available in UK and looks grey with no metal in it.

JB Weld is just another form of epoxy. It used to have some kind of filler but I don't know if it still does - I never buy the stuff.

6KV? Could easily be up to 20KV with a good coil and no spark plug.

I went the glue gun route. It worked great. Easy to control so its a clean result, hardens quickly. I would recommend it.

I've used it in the US and it is grey there, just curious about why not clear like most epoxy glues in the UK.
