Correct plugs

Hi Guys, Can someone please confirm which plugs I should be using in my 66 CA77. I am using D8HA,s but have read that D6HA,s are recommended. what difference will the D6HA make.

I'm no expert, but the difference is the plug heat range. The lower the number the hotter the plug. So D6 should be two steps hotter than D8. Hotter plugs would only be indicated if your engine runs consistently rich or cold at part throttle and that's only after all other adjustments in mixture, jetting, and ignition timing have failed to remedy the condition. If your bike is stock and not subjected to extreme conditions or ridden in altitude extremes, the stock heat range should be used. If you find that you must use a hotter plug, go only one step at a time such as a D7. Do several plug chops after switching to ensure it's not running too hot or too lean, which can cause engine damage. I hope this helps.
