Hi Everyone
Just another update. Things are moving along pretty good. All I have left to do before I start it (for the fist time in almost 40 years) is wire in the new rectifier, install the exhaust, and perform Ed's tune up procedure.

Really good.
What paint did you use for the crankcase covers?
Still need to paint mine, I have VHT aluminium paint I'll be using probably.

Hi Glenn and thanks for the compliment!
I had Loudmouse go thru the motor. I believe he cleaned up the cases by simply bead blasting. He would be the better one to answer specifics.

Paul..........You will likely need to partially or completely remove the rear fender to fit the rectifier.........unless you don't mind some paint scratches. Looking real sanitary! Ed's motor will likely start on the 2nd-kick.

Thanks Dennis! Decided to go with a solid state rectifier. Was having trouble finding a good one, and besides, I didn't care for how the original one dripped molten plastic all over the frame. No worries!
