CA77 spark issue

Hey guys, as promised my update. She's running awesome, but I really can't say what is was because I did so many things. I installed a new $25 coil from amazon, new wires, I even took the plug boot cap apart and wire brushed the little bass fitting. Roughed up the points with some 60 grit paper, reset the gap then double checked the timing only to fine out...it was way off. The only thing I'm thinking is the points are now sparking at a different time. So I reset the timing, cleaned and re gapped the plugs. But before I reinstalled the plugs I decided to adjust the valves, turns out my aluminum foil is about .004. Installed the plugs, hooked up a battery...and she fired right up, sounds amazing and seems strong. Thank you guys for having this forum and for your input to the problem I was having, maybe my finding will be some help to others....use a rougher grit paper when cleaning your points.

Ya did a lot of good adjustments which as you found when done correctly will allow that engine "TO RUN"!
