And no, have not tried either.
Can't exactly at the moment since the bum ones are still in the fella's bike, but he did say the ID of the swing arm holes were ~22mm, and the bolts are an 8mm.

The customer is pretty mechanically inclined, and if he tells me the hole ID is 22mm, it's gonna be pretty darned close if not spot on. The one that "G-Man" found looks like is is a couple of mm too small. However, many thanks for bird dogging that down.
The customer just dropped me a note and has decided to just pick up the solid rod. Once he gets back into town (he's an airline pilot) he will bring over the swing arm to get precise measurements and I will turn the bushings and press them in.
Thanks all for your assistance. I had a CL77 (actually two), but let them go.

I just dragged out a CL77 swing arm and it looks like 20mm OD for the bushes to me.
I also found some bushes I got from CMS. 8 x 20 x 19 is the size.
The Chinese ones should be perfect. I just bought a couple to check them out. I'll report back.
Curiously, it is the same part number ( 52483-273-000) as the CL72 top and bottom shock bushes and, while they are 8mm ID and 20mm OD, they are actually 22mm wide compared with teh CL77 bushes at 19mm wide. Those Honda guys move in mysterious ways.....

I've passed this on to the fella to see if he wants to hold on with the rod, so looking forward to see what you find out.
Thanks again.

Well, the customer was wrong. His swing arm does measure ~20mm. He brought it over, along with the 'plastic" rod. He agrees that the Chinese bushings will probably work, but he wants to run in the next Moto Giro and can't wait for their delivery, so I turned a couple of bushings for him.
One of his is still good and left it in place, but replaced the other. We'll see how it works out.
