What cycles would you want between 1970 and 1985

Who said it was only about Motorcycles? What else do you collect, restore, enjoy... ?

Bike of all times

Post by dickinraleigh » Wed Feb 27, 2008 10:32 am

A 1976 RE5A Suzuki Rotary bike. I owned one from 1980 to 2003. I miss the bike. But my all time highest desired bike is a 1976 Goldwing LTD with the gold wheels. Maybe a CX500 Turbo.

Four bikes?
1. Honda CB400F for in town.
2. BMW RS 900 Airhead because they look cool!
3. BMW 1000 airhead for touring
4. And an old Norton so I'd have something to wrench on constantly.

Bikes to keep

Post by cbxmountainman » Tue Oct 21, 2008 4:34 pm

Wish I had another CB92SS with the competition kit, another GL 1000 LTD, another CB77 with the 350 kit, another 1979 CBX with a 1170 kit,29 Smoothbores, decent rear shocks and an 81/82 front end and the list goes on................I presently have five CL77s and one TC200 68 Suzuki that makes 28 HP. Have had too many bikes to list including about 30 CBXs all together thru the years. Ony 71 years young and have many more bikes to go. 1st Honda was in 1958 and had a dry sump 59 Dream, Yamahas, Suzukis including a fun TC185 and the dreaded TM400. Bad ass motor crosser.

'65 CA95, in black; '68 Suzuki T20 Super Six, in met blue; '73 T500 Cobra, in red; '74 GT550, in blue & green. I wouldn't swap my CB77 for any of them, though!

EDIT: Duuuuuuh, I didn't absorb the '70 to '85 bit........, so I'll add a '70 CB750 and a '79 CBX (just to look at!)

Norton "Yellow Submarine" a 750 I believe, a finished cb77 (mine's still in the project stage) a cb1100r, and a KZ900. There are many more to want, but I won't get to greedy!!!
67 cb77 Superhawk - newest project

78 cb750k Caferacer (sort of)
