After re-build?
Any tips on starting the motor up for the first time after a top-end re-build? Do you crank it a bit and hope to get some oil up top? Or squirt a little oil into the cams? Everything was lightly oiled when I put it back together, but that was a couple of months ago. Just wondering if you guys have any tips, Thanks<john>

Depends how confident you are of things; I think the recommendation is to slacken one of the
front cylinder head nuts when the engine is running and oil should weep out.as its being pumped
around the oil galleries.
I rebuilt my CB72 after a seizure and changed the oil pump.
To prove it was working I took the plugs out, removed the front valve covers off and cranked it
over on a car battery. You could see oil being pumped into the head around the valves within a
couple of seconds which convinced me things were OK and I could start it up properly.
Bit of overkill perhaps but gave me piece of mind,
