Newbie Looking for Parts
Newbie Looking for PartsI'm looing at a '67 Dream 305. It runs good and rides good but is missing or in need of a few parts (carb covers, chain cover, battery cover, seat cover and a few other minor parts). Before I make an offer I'd like to have a full picture of what it will cost me to get it all together. Where can I find a parts catalog?

Also, as long as I have an audience I'd like an opinion. I have a 10 mile ride to work on city streets. How will the Dream function for daily driving of this sort?

Thanks, Cor
Re: Newbie Looking for PartsCor,

I know of no catalog for these parts. You can get an idea of the cost of parts and bike value by looking on Ebay.

Use the “advance search” feature and choose “completed auctions”

The parts you are looking for are never cheap! They seem to be the first parts lost off these bikes.

As for the 10-mile drive. Dreams are touring bikes meant for long rides at medium to high RPM My only concern with the ride you suggest is, if the battery will stay charged with stop and go city driving. There are a few tricks to help with this.

These are great bikes a a blast to ride and easy to work on. Not as fast or as agile as the CBs or CLs but they will run all day at highway speeds without any trouble.

Email me if I can help.
Rob
