What sizes of tires for a 66 Dream?

What sizes of tires for a 66 Dream?
Anybody know what size tires will fit on a Dream? Are there new, different measurements other than 16 x 3.25? I am looking for some wide whitewalls and the local motorcyle tire shop wants to know if a tire an inch wider will fit the rear. My bike is totally apart so I cannot tell. He also uses a different measuring system other than the 16 x 3.25, any help on what size tires will fit is much appreciated! Terry
