cb72 oil filter seized up overheated and melted

here are a few pic's of the oil filter from my 64 cb72 it looks like it froze on it's shaft at somepoint in it's life and got very hot anyone see this before? what caused it by the way the washer was on the outside stuck with melted aluminum on it. also the sprocket is able to turn on the housing.

there was oil in the bike and oil did come out of the filter when i removed it

I'd say the washer was left off the shaft on the locater pin end and the cap and large cover started to eat each other and the heat was transmitted thriugh the entire part.
Take a look at the inside of the cover. ................lm

the locater pin was in place and i had to pry the washer off the end:(

Was the washer the correct one?
Was it scared like the cap end?. .........lm

no but it did have allot of melted aluminum on it I have no idea if it was the correct one but i will take a pic and post it later on today
