Yes, mine's a '65. It came to me in a bunch of boxes last Christmas as it was totally disassembled. I got it from a guy who lived a couple houses over from me. He had it for a few years but didn't do anything with it, so when they decided to move I purchased it for $300. It sat in my garage un-touched until a few weeks ago when I finally got the time to begin work on it. I've sorted thru the pieces to see what was missing and have been picking up a few things here and there.KellieLyyne wrote:Thats too funny! So if the OWNER of this beautiful bike is watching, your bike has been an inspiration to many! That was the bike I saw and said, yep gotta have one! I'd love to see your bike during the resto process and when it's finished. What year is yours? a 65?
It was in fair shape considering how long it sat disassembled. The front fender was pretty banged up and the rear fender had a tear in it, but most of the other sheet metal parts were in good shape. I got it mostly painted last week(white) and tonight I color sanded it and hope to buff it out tomorrow and begin the assembly.
I'll start a new thread soon with some pictures. Your bike looks amazing!

Thanks for the compliments. I wish I could take some credit for it, but honestly it was all my hubbies elbow grease and know how. I was just the supervisor with the vision (and a picture!) I knew that I wanted the seamless gas tank, and whitewalls. Oh and I knew it had to be white and shiny! I did all the "shopping" online, and learned the hard way what fits and what doesn't. It was a great experience and having my hubby put it together for me, made it all that much more special. I have restored Buco bags that I will eventually add to the bike, but for now, I want to ride it without them. The chrome is too pretty to hide right now. When you get a chance, put some pictures up. I'd love to see them.
