The speedometer decal came from ReproductionDecals.com. Here's their URL address:

They don't have it listed in their online catalog. You have to call & ask for it. The red dot is the high beam indicator. According to Bill Silver's resto guide, it was a later addition to the Dreams. Early speedometers apparently didn't have it. I had to cut out this hole on the decal after I applied it to the faceplate.

The wiring harness was made by modifying a NOS harness that I found that I believe was from an early C or CA series Honda (not sure exactly what it was). It didn't take too much splicing and cutting in my workshop to make it a nice 305 Dream harness. Restoring this bike required a LOT of this type of "field expedient" fabricating. Being my first Honda 305 Dream restoration, I didn't know all the pitfalls and techniques that some of the folks on this forum have learned, which sometimes made it a challenge.

Because of this, I made these personal observations:

This Dream is sometimes moody, often complicated, extremely fun, and very good looking. This can lead to only one conclusion........ This Dream is clearly a female!

That's funny, should be obvious they are females.One of the local mechanics call them
300 nightmares instead of dreams.

Ray Byrne is a good guy to deal with, and his tank emblems are pretty spot-on reproductions.

For a '64 bike you'll need his Honda Dream 300 repros, and not the Honda 300 type depicted under the eBay item number.

Lovely work on the bike!

The badges changed mid 1963. For a 1964 he needs the Honda 300 badges.
