1962 Dream Seat

Post by cadman » Tue Aug 29, 2017 10:41 am

I have modified a 1965 seat frame to match the 1962 seat frame. I have been looking for pics of a complete 1962 seat - can't find any. Does the 1962 seat have the chrome trim around the bottom or chrome buttons around the bottom. Anyone got a picture of a stock 1962 seat? I need something to guide the upholstery guy.

Thanks - Don

Don

This is a 1962 C72. Different tank from CA77 maybe but the general style is the same....

Seat

That seems fairly similar - The 62 seat has a half round, angled up part at the front that covers the open round portion of the tank. I don't see any provisions for the strap. I can't believe I can't find a pic of one

Don

If you click on these, you'll get some really hi-resolution ones.

Seat

Yeah - I think that's exactly it. The late dream seat does not have the curved portion at the front. It is also just a bit shorter - just barely reaches the front mount.
