What to paint

Post by modelman » Fri Feb 23, 2018 1:14 pm

My current CA77 was all black prior to stripdown, everything now blasted & today I painted everything dark blue, but I just realized that I also painted the 2 lower footrest & stand assemblies as well, would these have been blue or black??

My black CA's footpeg brackets and centerstand are black. The sidestand is silver.

Pretty sure that's standard with all colors.

I had all those parts on mine powder coated because of the use they get. I had them done black but my bike is also black as you know but I don't think it would matter but I think "black" for the underside is more appropriate.
You could maybe go one better and have them chromed to match the mufflers.

jkv357 got it right. Black for the front foot rests & center stand. Silver for side stand on my 67 CA77.
